Autumnal library book necklace: 11 antique and scrap leather covered books

 We love this necklace!

"A bounty of autumnal coloured books to adorn the most voracious of readers!

I use antique and scrap leathers in autumnal tones of black walnut, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, crimson, sap green and soot. The leather comes from many different sources, such as antique wallets, Victorian bags of home visiting doctors, chairs, leftovers, sofas et cetera.

The centre chain is 20 inches and those on either side are 18 inches. Please convo me if you would like different lengths.

I can make this with silver chain and loops for an additional $45 dollars.

I also now have rose gold plated silver! This will be an additional $80.

My books are made using archival insides and antique outsides. Inside you'll find line-less strathmore drawing paper - thick, hand-torn, acid-free pages that work perfectly with ink, pens both thick and superfine, pencil, charcoal, and myriad other mediums. the pages are each hand sewn with archival linen binder's thread. The books' covers are made using hand-picked scraps and worn leather from wherever I can find them, cut to fit the appropriate size. The books can be carried daily and beat up. They are quite strong creatures."
